how frustrating for you - would you consider leaving the national guard?

ahh... that was close!

haha,, fuck the oil.. it runs beneath my feet and it ruins your dream chance..

! and the whole world!!!
how can people not know about the national guard? o.O

damn, that sucks!
Frankly, I'd be focussing on number one, and what YOU really want. If it's staying where you are, and your life as YOU want it to be, then I'd be bailing out of the military. It's only using you anyway. Your patriotic fervour is honourable, but self-sacrifice won't make you happy.
What??? They have not heard of the National Guard? HUH!!!
I am so sorry this is so hard for you! This should not be so hard! They need to honor the fact that you are in the National Guard! I am SO sorry!

if i break my contract with the guard then i lose the 15,000 they gave me and i will have a dishonorable discharge... which sucks worse at getting a job... i have 5 more years in june with the guard i think i will stick it out...

bailing the military has its consequences... refer to my reply back to cat's comment... i want to be in texas i don't want to have to go back home but by october if i don't have a job i'm heading home and then my unemployment runs out in november...

yeah my mom said, "candy they can get in trouble for that... thats discrimination" and now that i know how it feels it sucks... thanks...

candy

They totally can! It is one weekend a month and two weeks a year, C'Mon, they can't get someone to cover those times? Really?

so i might head off to jag and see if anything can be done about it...

You should, at least to get some advice on how to present the fact you are in the national guard in a way that they feel okay about hiring you. It should not be this hard.

So much not to believe here.

Never heard of the National Guard? Good God. That just makes my poor head spin.

I also can't believe that the photography job requires that you be in attendence all the time. Can't miss any weekends? What type of covert work are they doing? I don't even think a job can insist on absolute attendence!

I hate that you're being disappointed like this. But don't dispair - the moon will always be waiting.

and the moon has been beautiful these last couple of nights...
